Mother!
SCREENING: Regular DATE: September 18th CINEMA: Showcase Cinema de Lux LOCATION: Bluewater NOTE: This is my second failed attempt at seeing a horror-type on a Sunday with friends in a row. Sunday is all my friends can manage, and Monday held bigger things for them. However, two of them arrived later than planned and the other two couldn't make it, and so we couldn't get to the screening on the dot. In fact, two of us couldn't go at all - a guy around our age was collecting tickets at the time, and he was hypersensitive in that he would ask anyone for physical proof that anyone entering was above 18. I gave him my DOB and everything. Worst of all, the queue for the kiosk was packed and friend #2 missed the first 15 minutes when he really shouldn't have. I got a refund (friend #3 had a carer ticket), the usher eventually apologised the next day and I went by myself while my friends were out and was let in by another guy with no ID necessary. Never, ever agreeing to a weekend cinema outing for a general release again unless it's a preview.

It
SCREENING: IMAX DATE: September 11th CINEMA: Showcase Cinema de Lux LOCATION: Bluewater NOTE: I went to a screening with my friends the day before, but one of them picked Cineworld Bexleyheath because it was closest to him. We had learned six minutes in that it was absolutely not a good idea to go there on a Sunday afternoon, as the audience was horrendous. I walked out, and booked a screening in which I would feel isolated and comfortable instead. And indeed I was.
