FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: ★★★½ NOTES: Starts off rougher than it does later on, with a dozen vertical lines covering the picture for a minute, but the rest of the print looks just fine aside from all the dust. Two changeovers render Bill Murray’s dialogue unintelligible, one frame of the Zissous towards the beginning has a gaping hole, a few seconds of Murray and Jeff Goldblum suffers from damage and a couple seconds of Seu Jorge’s performance over the credits are unjustly cut. Aside from some vertical lines that turn up in random places, most often in the middle but sometimes to the left, just one cut frame and the whole credit sequence being shifted slightly out of place, this is a visually impressive print given its age. FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: ★★★ NOTES: Every frame is scratchy and dirty, and white horizontal lines start flashing every two seconds from the second reel and then appear more frequently until they turn to black. Playback is smooth until Hanna has his first conversation with McCauley, and from then on the print is affected by several cuts and jumpy frames, while a scene involving McCauley is damaged by white markings.
