The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: ★★★★½ NOTES: Almost saw this at Picturehouse Central twice back in 2022, but their projector failed on both attempts and so they resorted to a DCP - and left me heading over to the Barbican for a showing of The Territory, to give my journey a pay-off. But the Prince Charles Cinema did a spectacular job at getting a near-perfect print to look this sharp on this screen. A shot of Ford at the party is covered in burn marks and another scene experiences some wear, but otherwise the print looks incredibly clear.
