SCREENING: Regular DATE: November 12th CINEMA: Cineworld LOCATION: The O2 NOTE: Took a bus up to see this at the O2 venue, but they encountered another technical fault trying to play it beyond the rating card - similar to what happened at Greenwich Picturehouse’s (another Cineworld-operated venue) last screening of Beasts of the Southern Wild. I was considering moving it to another day, but rather than let my journey go to waste and lose a precious day indoors, I instead took the tube and exchanged my ticket for a showing at Leicester Square. Waited in the PH Central members’ bar for 50 minutes and charged my phone up using a bartender’s charging cable (forgot to charge up my chargers), then walked into that 3pm showing and it played just fine. A woman who arrived a minute late asked me if it just started, to which I nodded, but then if “anything happened”, to which I shook my head. And she didn’t miss anything, but god, if only she knew what I thought she meant!
