FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: ★★★★½ NOTES: A rarely screened UK print presented by Ghibliotheque. The projectionist did not screw around, screening the film in perfect focus and although part one of The Second Renaissance was overlaid by some vertical lines, the rest of the print looked spectacular. The sound was also tremendous, that is until a point in Matriculated when the sound cut off for a second, leaving the rest of the print’s volume and audio frequency reduced. This did not spell good news for the most Wachowski-esque of the films, Final Flight of the Osiris. DATE: September 26th 2023 CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOCATION: West End
