NOTES: Screened as part of Be Gay, Do Crime, a series that is exactly what it sounds like, presented with a pre-recorded intro by critic Xuanlin Tham. Was supposed to screen with a pre-recorded intro by another trans critic in April 2020 as part of a series tying into the would-be theatrical release Promising Young Woman, but has been kept away in the archive ever since. And it shows, because the print is sharp, thunderous and in tip-top condition despite a couple of missing frames.

NOTES: Prominent dust and scratches, other than that the picture is crystal clear and there are no discernible faults in playback until the second-to-last reel, in which a few damaged frames are skipped over as the collector explains what he saw and some severe damage is present as the reel is about to end.

NOTES: Presented as part of the Disney season with the ingenious (and more visually appealing) Get a Horse. Heavy on dust and vertical wear, but smooth playback until the cut to credits. Presented off-centre, so during the cave rest scene and the fights by the landslide you can see where the sky ends. When the reel changed as the dinosaurs discovered the watering hole, projector A was completely out of focus for several seconds. And no, this only looks very slightly better than it does on a HD digital copy. The composition issues are barely obscured by 35mm film, and the dinosaurs are as difficult to look at as ever.

Max the Movie Guy added 1 item to Cinemaโs longest post-marketing movie delays list
[youtube id=MDnVk5jIJr0]
Trailer debut: June 20th 2023
Original release: September 15th 2023
New release: April 26th 2024
Difference: 224 days
Between trailer and release: 311 days
Reasons: Delayed due to the combined WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike halting public appearances (e.g. festivals) for all affiliated artists. It's worth noting that Amazon currently owns MGM, and they are among the perpetrators of all the layoffs and unfair pay.
Benefits: Likely to make its official debut at Sundance or Berlinale. If this sets a precedent for already-wrapped films, imagine how the likes of Iger or Zaslav will take it.
Flaws: A lot of Zendaya stans are going to be disappointed.
