Videodrome
FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…ยฝ NOTES: Printed by ICA Projects, co-presented by the Sci-Fi Channel. The picture behind all the scratches looks crystal clear until the last two reels from when Max confronts Harlan at his studio, which were either projected or printed slightly out of focus. During Maxโ€™s following hallucination, a thick yellow line tracks down one third of the print until the transformation is complete. DATE: September 18th 2022 CINEMA: ICA LOCATION: The Mall

Lady and the Tramp
FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… NOTES: The 1997 re-release, which I had previously seen on 4th August that year at what was then the Greenwich Cinema, marking my first ever cinema experience. Of course not the best quality print but holds up very well after so many years, and looks so much more practical and alive than any digital restoration of Walt Disneyโ€™s productions. Not only do the colours look beautiful and naturally tinted, but one can easily notice all the dust on the cels. DATE: September 17th 2022 CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOCATION: West End

Crimes of the Future
SCREENING: Regular DATE: September 15th CINEMA: The Prince Charles Cinema LOCATION: West End NOTE: Watched first on iTunes for $20 primarily to save myself from three months of spoilers, through a vomit-coloured filter no less probably by Neonโ€™s mistake.
